Biographical Information

About Me

Jim Sweeney is the Sales and Product manager for the Synaptica® Taxonomy and Metadata Management product suite from Synaptica, LLC. Jim previously worked with Dow Jones from July of 2005 as a result of the acquisition of Synapse, the Knowledge Link Corporation and the Synaptica software suite. Prior to that Mr. Sweeney had been with Synapse consulting on their corporate and product websites, developing and editing marketing materials, and assisting with multiple projects in preparation for transitioning operations prior to the acquisition. Jim has been working with Synaptica directly or indirectly since the mid 1990's. Jim has also worked on the marketing, sales, design, development and implementation of business directories and Synaptica installations to domestic and international customers including those located in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Australia, South Africa, Canada and throughout Europe. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Colorado State University, Pueblo.
